Interracial Jazz Recording (#52): The Big Aces (Dorseys, Redman, Thomas)

This is a pretty high-powered group of white musicians, along with Don Redman who is the composer, arranger and plays clarinet and alto sax. George Thomas of McKinney's Cotton Pickers does the vocal and plays tenor sax.

"Cherry" is in a medium dance tempo, with a easy, lilting quality and some nice sax soli sections. Tommy Dorsey is on trumpet and takes a brief solo. Not sure who the sax soloist is. An ID would be welcome.
